Wildlife Education & Training

We aim to improve community knowledge and engagement by establishing research and educational activities related to environmental conservation and wildlife health; to educate on the protection of wildlife and wildlife habitat; to work closely with and encourage other local charitable, cultural and environmental projects; and to become a centre of excellence in wildlife vet care – freely sharing those learnings amongst the community.

Wildlife Education & Training is included in Stage 2 of the NRWH operations. If you would like to be kept informed of developments, please subscribe to our mailing list .

Visitor Centre

Visitor Centre facilities will form part of Stage 2 of the NRWH development. More details will be made available in due course.

Work Experience

We expect to collaborate with educational providers within the broader region as well as in the immediate Lismore/Wollongbar LGA to provide experience for both students and recent graduates. Work experience shall be provided under the guidance of professionally trained and experienced practitioners in the veterinary field as well as other disciplines.

We will advertise when we have work experience positions available. A good way to stay informed is to subscribe to our mailing list.

Native Plant Program

A Native Plant program is being developed under the guidance of local Landcare groups, animal care groups and the expertise within Department of Primary Industries. The major strategic focus of the planting program shall be environmental sustainability and the replenishment and management of native habitat with a view to the propagating of feed trees for Koala’s and other threatened wildlife species.

To register your interest in the NRWH Native Plant Program please email or joing our mailing list.
