Madeleine Faught has dedicated over 40 years to conserving native habitats across Australia. From 2009 to early 2023, she served as Chair of the not-for-profit Rainforest Rescue, working alongside notable directors Tony Gilding and Sue Higginson to drive impactful conservation initiatives. Madeleine is committed to strong governance and achieving meaningful outcomes for the protection of native flora and fauna.

In partnership with Dr Robert Kooyman, Madeleine continues her local and international involvement in scientific research and culturally sensitive conservation work. She brings deep expertise in local ecosystems and was a member of the Conservation Ecologists Association, a group of experts in the ecology and preservation of Australia’s native biodiversity.
