Volunteer Board Member, and Vet Advisory Committee
Kim Hollis-Simpson

Kim Hollis-Simpson has 24 years of experience in the veterinary industry across Australia and the UK. A career-defining encounter with a tiny ringtail possum in 2007 sparked her passion for wildlife health and conservation. Since then, Kim has dedicated her career to wildlife nursing, including nearly a decade at both the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

Kim has also shared her expertise through training programs with the Victorian DELWP and authored their comprehensive manual on koala anaesthesia. She was selected to perform field anaesthesia for the endangered Leadbeater’s possum and participated in its supplemental feeding program following the devastating 2009 Victorian bushfires.
