Dr Megan Kearney is a highly experienced veterinarian with a speciality in wildlife medicine. Based in Bangalow, NSW, Megan runs her own veterinary hospital Vitality Vetcare (also a member of the Northern Rivers Wildlife Hospital), providing care for livestock, companion animals, and native wildlife. Her career spans over 30 years, beginning as a graduate vet in Alice Springs, and has taken her across Australia, the UK, and Ladakh, India, where she volunteered with Vets Beyond Borders.
In addition to her clinical work, Megan has served on several not-for-profit boards and committees. She was President of Integrative Veterinarians Australia, a special interest group of the Australian Veterinary Association, and has held leadership roles with the Ereshkigal Foundation and Bradford City Farm, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and animal welfare.
As Chair of NRWH’s Vet Advisory Committee, Megan plays a key role in guiding the hospital’s medical practices and promoting wildlife conservation through collaborative care.
